I sent an email of my blog to https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/legacy-ornamental-mills telling them of my blog.  One member had a question, where is my Legacy?

So here is my before and after pictures.  I'm hoping to  blog in the future on how I fix up my Legacy.  I need to do something by the gears because it is not tight by the bearings.  I hope to make a handle (one of mine is missing) a finally, install a plywood table to do milling.

Even though I cleaned off the top of the Legacy, I have stuff below.  I hope to someday, have things under the Legacy and that  I'll know what's inside each box!

I have reach my goal of having over 100 people look at my site.  My next two goals is to get an email and at least on follower!

The Messy Woodworker (still)

Over the weekend I worked on my room as well as took care of my granddaughter. I took a picture t give you an idea of my progress. Even though it may look like I'm slowly progressing, I still have a long way to go.

Yes, have the table saw cleaned, the bench to the left with the metal lathe clean.  There are still cabinets that need to be organized.  Items to be sold or trade.  Wood that needs to be made into something.  Last week, I made several birds for someone at work.  I received from my neiphew, a doll house from his girl friend that I will fixup for my granddaughter.  Hopefully, tonight I'' sell several metal clamps that should free up some floor space.  Time will tell.

Today is Saturday and my wife is hosting a wedding shower for her neice.  So I will get to be in the basement and I can do whatever I want.  Hopefully today will be a good day.

I'll let you know what happens.

Well the day is done and like normal not a lot happened.  I did clean off the Legacy and swept the floor.  I post two items on Craigslist but so far I have not had any luck.  It is a lot easlier to buy things off of Craigslist then to sell something.  The room looks cleaner, however I know that I have a long way to go before it will be what I want.  I want to be able to start a project, know where everything is and if need be store the project in a place that will make it eariler to return to continue.  Tomorrow, I'll take a picture of the room so that you can compare the first picture to the second.

I told some people at work about my site.  If I get over 100 visitors, one guy will buy me a beer, 101 visitors and a second person will buy me a beer.  They told me it would be good for it to happen on the same day.

If you have any ideas that you would like to share, send me a note.  If I like it, I'll include it on the blog if you say it's okay.

Day 2 I thought that I would try to get a least one thing kind of done.  I decided that since the cabinet that I had my battery power tools where kind of just thrown in the cabinet that I would replace them with my magazines.  The magazine fit the space (kind of) and then the power tools were in the open.

It did open up some space. However,  I'm starting to realize the only way to organize this place is to get rid of tools and/or wood.  So today I  posted on Craigslist my battery powered drummel and battery rotor cutter.

This weekend, I may post my Miter saw and table along with the band saw.

The messy Woodworker

Day 2.  I thought that I would try to clean something up today

On March 12, 2013, I looked at my messy workroom and I thought something needs to be done.  So I thought that I would take some pictures of my room and post it on a blog.  I would then blog my progress to make my workroom presentable and organized.  It's not that I don't get anything done, I do get items started and finished.  It's just that I must spend a lot of time clearing out areas so that I can work in a certain area and I also lose (misplace) items and I can spend a lot of time searching for it.

I know I can clean one area, the problem is cleaning the entire room. The first picture was my table saw before cleaning, (second picture).  As you can see in picture 3 and 4, my room is a mess!

My main tools are my Dewalt 788 Scroll saw and my Delta Planner which I brought new.  A Cumm ings drill press that I inheritated.  I have a Model 1000 Legacy,  a Cal-Hawk Band saw with 6 inch extender  , a Ring Master, A Delta 6 inch grinder, an Incra sliding table all of  which I got off Craigslist.

As I learn how to blog I'll label things and hopefully show you a clean and organized room!  I know that I will probably need to sell at least one or two items.  The Ryobi Sliding miter saw and the band saw are two items that I'm thinking of selling to make room.

Wood is also a big problem for me.  I don't have a good system to store it and I'm not quick enough to build items to get rid of it.
